Wichita was hit with a terrible ice storm the first week of January in the new year. Around 100,000 residences and businesses in the county were without power for a considerable amout of time due to the extensive ice damage to trees and power lines. KSARDA teammates called off their Saturday and Sunday training sessions to help their teammates clean up the debris in their yards from the storm. Joe's, Sherryl's, and Inga's yards were cleaned up by the following teammates: Matt and Alaine Kuestersteffen; Linda Yoos with husband Paul and son David; Laurie Vickery; Sandi and Dale Stelz; Judi Busch; Inga Tanner and her husband Pat; Joe Fehrenbacher; and Sherryl White with husband Tom. The members not only helped to clear their teammates yards, but helped a friend of one of the KSARDA members who was in need of extra help.
