| KSARDA was invited to the Wichita Community Foundation's Contributors Appreciation Meeting |
 On October 28th, 2004, the Kansas Search and Rescue Dog
Association was invited to the Wichita Community Foundation's "Contributors Appreciation Meeting" at the Bank
of America downtown. Our group was the sole group asked to give a presentation in front of the WCF's Board of Directors and Contributors out of 15 other grant award recipients.
Our team was awarded $9,965 to purchase 20 handheld and 3 mobile radios that operate on the 155.160 MHz National SAR Frequency. These radios have greatly improved our communications with team members and other Public Safety Agencies during training exercises and on searches. The team members wore the handheld radios to the meeting so the Foundation members and Contributors could view the radios the grant provided for KSARDA. |

| KSARDA was very thankful and pleased to meet so many of the Foundation's members and Contributors, and all of
those in the WCF had a great time chatting with KSARDA members and meeting the 2 "spokes dogs": Kenzie and Skye.
Thanks to all those who attended, and once again, thank you to the Wichita Community Foundation for their
wonderful generosity! We are looking forward to our next grant writing campaign for other much needed
equipment in the next few months!
