KSARDA Wilderness Training Exercise 11-06-2004

KSARDA team members traveled near Dexter, KS to search on 200 acres of private property for our main Saturday training session. We had 15 team members and 11 K9s training along with 2 additional victims. The property is so vast that the K9 teams had nice, large areas to search including victims hiding in trees, and large creeks, retention ponds, cliffs, thickets, hills and plenty of deer in the search areas.

K9 Bailey can't wait to play with her frisbee! Team members chat before caravaning to the locale.

Joe takes time out to say "hi" to Ranger after the search. Sherryl and Matt work Incident Command logging data.

K9 Skye trails his victim's scent with handler Lorrie. Vicki releases K9 Solo to 'Go Find!'

Solo runs his search pattern looking for the scent. K9 R.C. catches scent of her victim.

R.C. and Sandi work their search pattern. Sherryl, Vicki, Phil, and Laurie discuss the searches.

Our team continues to work on improving Incident Command and organization during these training sessions to better prepare our team for actual searches. We had a fun time and are looking forward to returning to this great locale!
