Tammy joined KSARDA in the early spring of 2003 with her K-9 Bailey. Sadly, K-9 Bailey lost her battle with cancer in late 2007. Tammy remains committed to the team and is considering getting another K-9 partner. Tammy currently works for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and has been with them since 1989. Tammy is one of the few women in her company that climbs the telephone poles to repair the lines and is used to going in dark, confined spaces as well, due to her job. She is one of the "victims" KSARDA puts in trees to train the dogs to "look up" when they are searching. Tammy has her First Aid/CPR certification. She is a SARTECH II and went on her first search with Bailey on Nov. 18, 2004. |
