Mike Robertson & K9 Gustav

Mike began his search and rescue career with KSARDA in 1999 with his K9 Gustav. Mike works at Hawker-Beechcraft and has since 1996. He has been certified in First Aid/CPR and has his Ham Radio Technician No-Code license. Mike and Gustav went on their first search for two missing motorists in the Emporia/Turnpike Flood in August/September 2003 and went on their second search for the missing individual in Peabody. Mike and his wife Kristy have 2 children.

Gustav is a German Shepherd who was born in July of 1998. Mike adopted Gustav from the Smokey Valley Kennel when Gustav was a year old. Gustav went on his first search for the Emporia/Turnpike victims in Aug/Sept. 2003. He has experience with harness rapelling and enjoys searching with his human partner Mike.
