K-9 Skye's Bio - (Wildblue The Sky is the Limit, CGC,HIC)
Training in Scent discrimination - Trailing

Skye trailing
Skye works a trail over variable surface terrain in the fall of 2005.

Skye is a Border Collie that was born in February of 2003 and came to Lorrie from Wildblue Kennels and Dr. Deanne Veselka in Colorado. His "mom" Gabby is an accomplished Australian and American Champion that came to the U.S. from Australia, and his "dad" Brumby is also an accomplished Border Collie out of Florida in conformation and agility. Skye is just beginning his SAR career and has been learning competitive obedience since he was only 2 months old. He will be competing in future novice agility and obedience competitions in AKC and has taken numerous obedience and agility classes through the Wichita Dog Training Club. He participated in the Cathy Niles Obedience Seminar in July of 2004 and the Diane Schultz seminar in July of 2005. Skye is very eager to please, loves people, is a very intelligent and quick learner, and has a strong play drive. He has taken to his SAR training very quickly, following the scent trail so fast that Lorrie has a hard time keeping up with him! He is a lovable PR dog who has to greet and kiss every person in the room. He looks to have a promising career in obedience, agility, and SAR!

K-9 Sheena's Bio -
(Vonshore-Rochill's Yo Sheena, CGC)
Died March 7, 2006
Wilderness and Basic Water Search Dog

Sheena Sheena

Sheena was retired in October 2005 due to health complications. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge in March 2006.

Sheena was a long-haired sable German Shepherd. She not only certified with Lorrie in wilderness, she certified with Sandi as well. Between Lorrie and Sandi's testing, Sheena successfully completed 380 acres of wilderness evaluations. Sheena worked under both Lorrie or Sandi. She's the search dog that Lorrie and Sandi always dreamed of owning!
Sandi certified with Sheena in Basic Water Search in August 2003 and went on her first water search on Aug. 31, 2003 for 2 missing motorists that were swept off of the Kansas Turnpike in a flood. Sheena located scent during that search and did a fantastic job! She participated in 9 searches in her SAR career. We love you Sheena! Thank you for all of the years you gave us and SAR!

In Beloved Memory of my sweet Bailey June 1995-December 3, 2004

Enjoy your nibble bars and "nannas". I will always love you and see you again someday. I promise. Love, "Mom".
