Kevin joined KSARDA in the spring of 2005 with his German Shepherd Saavik. Kevin has an Associates Degree in Fire Science from Hutchinson Community College.
He is a trained storm spotter and a State of Kansas EMT-B. Kevin holds Firefighter I and Firefighter II credentials from Kansas University. He is a Ice Rescue Specialist from Dive Rescue International and is trained in Hazardous Materials Operation from Hutchinson Community College.
Kevin also is trained in Basic High Angle Rescue and
Advanced High Angle Rescue from Hutchinson Community College. He has training in Incident Command and is an EMICT.
As of December 2008, Kevin and his GSD Saavik have passed their 20-acre day search and 40-acre night search KSARDA evaluations. They are preparing for their 160-acre final KSARDA certification evaluation.
