Maize Safety & Health Fair-- January 25, 2005
KSARDA was requested by the Maize Police Department to attend the Maize School Safety & Health Fair along with other public safety and health agencies. KSARDA had 3 groups of members speaking to hundreds of kids, their teachers, and in the evening, to the parents and the general public. The "morning shift" was attended by: Sandi Stelz, Judi Busch & K9 Madison, Terresia DuBois & K9 Sydney, and Lorrie Stelz & K9 Skye. The "afternoon shift" was attended by: Vicki Walton & K9 Solo, Linda Yoos & K9 Squirt, and Sandi Stelz. The "evening shift" was attended by: Derrick Vickery & Ranger, Laurie Vickery & K9 Recon, and Sandi Stelz. During the presentations to the school children, they were told what to do to keep from getting lost, and if they get lost, what measures they need to take. Team members heard reports in the evening from parents who stated their children told them what KSARDA taught them earlier in the day. |
