Heather joined KSARDA in the fall of 2003. She began working with her Golden Retriever puppy Clover in the spring of 2004. Clover retired from SAR work when Heather decided to continue her education in night school. She is a mom to 2 daughters, one of whom wants to be a veterinarian. Heather and fellow-KSARDA member husband Gary have a houseful with their children and dogs K9 Dixie (Gary's K9 partner), and Alaskan Malamute Avalanche and Clover. She enjoys watching sled dog events and AKC dog shows on tv now that she has entered the "dog world". Heather holds an Associates Degree in Drafting and Design. She is certified in First Aid/CPR and became a SARTECH II in March of 2004. |
