 Heather joined KSARDA in the fall of 2003. She is currently serving as KSARDA Treasurer. Over the years, Heather has acquired vast experience working with KSARDA K9s and in the Summer of 2009 began working toward becoming a K9 Handler with K9 Dixie (already Operational with husband Gary Swift). Heather is continuing her formal education by attending night school. She is a mom to 2 daughters, one of whom wants to be a veterinarian. Heather and fellow-KSARDA member husband Gary have a houseful with their children and dogs K9 Dixie, Alaskan Malamute Avalanche, and Golden Retriever Clover. She enjoys watching sled dog events and AKC dog shows on tv now that she has entered the "dog world". Heather holds an Associates Degree in Drafting and Design. She is certified in First Aid/CPR and became a SARTECH II in March of 2004.
