Gene is retired from the Fire Service and started with KSARDA in the fall of 2003. He passed his SARTECH II in March 2004 and is a trained weather spotter. He also has training as an EMT-B, Incident Command, Instructional Techniques (through FEMA), HazMat Identification, Explosive Materials Identification (Class "A" Blaster), Scene Preservation (through ATF), Narcotics & Dangerous Drugs (through the U.S. Dept. of Justice), and is a retired SCUBA diver. Gene has been on several searches with the team.
Gene is married to fellow teammate Kim. Together they have 3 sons and 1 daughter.
