This fall, 8 KSARDA members and their spouses participated in the Bergmann's Corn Maze near Haysville. This is a fun opportunity for the members to get together outside of training to form closer bonds, work through a new "challenge", and enjoy themselves. Stacy and Stan Shaver, Sandi, Dale, and Lorrie Stelz, Vicki Walton, Jennifer Thill, Linda and Paul Yoos, and Joe Fehrenbacher attended. Due to the smaller group size this year, the team remained in one large group and decided to work their way through the whole maze to answer most of the trivia questions. We spent roughly 3 hours out there and had a great time! Mr. Bergmann also allowed our team to return a few weeks later, after the Corn Maze had been closed, to work some search training exercises in the maze. It gave the teams a challenge as the wind was constantly swirling around the corn stalks, but the dogs and handlers worked hard, sourced the scent, and found all the victims! Joe, Sandi & K9 Skye, Tammy & K9 Bailey, Jennifer & K9 Jack, Terresia & K9 Sydney, Vicki & K9 Solo, Linda & K9 Squirt attended that training. It was a fun experience for the team!
