Annette has been a member of KSARDA since 1998. She is a certified SARTECH II. In March 2011, Annette began serving KSARDA as its Northern Region Deputy Director, after having served 6 years as KSARDA Director which followed her prior terms as Northern Region Deputy Director. She is a KSARDA Training Officer, Evaluator, and SAR Manager. In addition to being a Lifetime Member of NASAR, she is a NASAR Lead Evaluator for SARTECH II/III, K9 SARTECH I Area/Trailing, Land HRD, Water HRD and Disaster Live, as well as a NASAR Evaluator for Water Type II and Disaster HRD.

Annette is a retired paramedic with 30 years of experience in public safety. She holds the following NASAR certifications: SARTECH II, SARTECH I in Area and Trailing, Disaster-Live, Still Water and HRD III-Land. Annette is a NASAR Lead Evaluator for SARTECH II and III and for Canine SARTECH III Area and Tracking/Trailing. She is an evaluator for Canine SARTECH II and I for Area and Tracking/Trailing, Disaster-Live, and HRD-Land. Annette is the Lead K9 Representative for the Kansas State USAR Team and is a member of the KC Metro USAR Team. She is also a presenter of the Lost But Found, Safe and Sound program and Survive program.

Annette has taken many FEMA courses and has attended numerous SAR-related seminars, including with noted Canadian police and SAR-Dog trainer Kevin George of Sentry Dogs, Ltd.

NASAR Canine SARTECH I in Area and Trailing, Disaster-Live, Disaster-HRD, Still Water, HRD III-Land.  He has been deployed on several searches to include the tornado strike in Chapman.
